(Part II) From Market to Masala: Cooking Indian Flavors at Home

  • Joyful Kitchen Cooking School 12 Greenwood Road Wellesley, MA 02481 United States (map)

Two-Part Culinary Experience! From Market to Masala: Cooking Indian Flavors at Home
Note: Attendance to both classes is recommended, but not required. Each class sold separately.

Part II / Cooking Indian Flavors at Home: If you love Indian food but haven’t quite felt confident cooking it at home, this class is for you. We’ll cook a comforting, well-rounded Indian menu with both plant-based and meat-based dishes, using ingredients you can easily find at local Indian markets.

You’ll learn how everyday Indian home cooking comes together — from gently blooming spices in oil to building layers of flavor with onions, ginger, and garlic. From simple spiced, sautéed, and simmered vegetable dishes and cozy lentil dals to familiar, comforting curries, we’ll focus on the kinds of dishes found in home kitchens across India: nourishing, spice-forward, and meant to be cooked often, shared at the table, and enjoyed as part of everyday life.
